MEET LIZA,

I am a Board-Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to assisting individuals suffering from co-dependency, low self-esteem, anxiety, poor coping skills, and trauma. I graduated in 2016 with my Masters of Art Therapy from Herron School of Art and Design,IUPUI. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2021 (License Number 39004017A), and a Board Certified Art Therapist in 2022. I utilize an interactive approach in which clients begin to explore healthy coping skills to manage stressors and triggers effectively. In addition, I work to explore improving relationships by empowering the use of boundaries and fostering the changes needed for interdependence. My interactive approach encompasses psychoeducation, Art Therapy, EMDR, and traditional talk therapy techniques. As an Art Therapist, I utilize a variety of art media to explore present and past issues and allow the creative process to initiate exploration and regulation of emotions and uncover underlying themes within the artwork. Additionally, I integrate traditional talk therapy techniques through a person-centered framework. I am trained in EMDR for addressing acute and complex trauma as well as anxiety and resistance.

Remember, you don’t have to continue holding everything on your own. I am here to help you navigate this process and offer support when you don’t know how to proceed. Take the step of choosing yourself just this once and let’s see how it goes.
